Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) — Skilled Nursing

As a Physical Therapist Assistant in our Skilled Nursing setting, you will evaluate and treat patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological events, cardiac conditions, and general deconditioning. You will develop individualized treatment plans, collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team (nursing, physicians, and families), and play a direct role in helping patients return to their highest level of independence. Your caseload will be manageable, and your clinical judgment will be respected.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting, focusing on orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, and deconditioning conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to maximize patient functional outcomes.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team, including nursing, physicians, and families.
• Support patients in achieving their highest level of independence through evidence-based care.

Requirements

• Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current or eligible for Connecticut State PTA license.
• Passion for geriatric rehabilitation and functional outcomes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Pay

Competitive pay based on experience, location, position, and employment type (full-time, part-time, per diem, or Independent Contractor). Rate ranges include levels for per diems with no benefits and Independent Contractors.
