About the role
We are looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team and care for our diverse patient population. At PAM Health, we care for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. Our teams work together to deliver the highest level of compassionate care, ensuring the best possible outcome for our patients.
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of the Physical Therapist, will be primarily responsible for direct patient care, planning and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of Physical Therapy in the PAM Health System. The PTA will additionally be involved in the further development of the services and must be flexible to meet the needs of the system within many different facilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients.
- Contribute to the further development of Physical Therapy services within the PAM Health System.
- Adapt to the needs of the system across multiple facilities.
Requirements
- PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic resides.
- Current BLS certification.
- One year of clinical experience preferred, but we welcome candidates with a desire and commitment to learn.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or willingness to gain it.
