Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA - Home Health Visits

About the role

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for home health visits in Davidson County, North Carolina. The position involves assisting clients in achieving or maintaining optimal physical well-being through treatment, tests, client education, and interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in achieving or maintaining optimal physical well-being through treatment, tests, client education, and interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Provide care in clients' homes, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare providers and clients.
• Adhere to infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment.

Requirements

• Current licensure or certification in the state of North Carolina.
• Graduated from a two-year college-level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, or have one year of appropriate experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved, or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977.
• At least one year’s work experience under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist.

• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
