About the role
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is a skilled licensed therapist who performs direct care under the clinical supervision of the Physical Therapist. This position offers the option of a 4 or 5 day work schedule and part time (3 day work week) options.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the development and implementation of patient care plans
- Administers treatments and exercises as prescribed by the Physical Therapist
- Monitors patient progress and reports changes to the supervising PT
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to ensure patient care coordination
- Documents patient care activities accurately and timely
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of North Carolina
- Completion of an accredited PTA program
- Passing scores on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Preferred experience in a skilled nursing facility setting
- Experience with aquatic therapy preferred

- Strong clinical skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Pay
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience and education
Schedule
