In this role, you will help patients work toward greater strength, mobility, and independence while providing quality care under the direction of a Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Providing individualized physical therapy treatments
• Carrying out treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist
• Assisting patients with therapeutic exercises and functional activities
• Monitoring patient response and communicating changes to the PT
• Encouraging patients throughout their rehabilitation journey
• Providing education to patients and caregivers when appropriate
• Completing accurate and timely documentation
• Working closely with nursing and other members of the care team
• Helping maintain a positive, safe, and professional therapy environment

Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current Michigan PTA license
• Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain as required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, organized, and patient-focused approach
