Physical Therapist Assistant - PTA - Full Time

About the role

A full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position is available in our sub-acute/skilled nursing rehab department in Salisbury, CT. A full-time Rehabilitation Team Leader / Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) position is also available.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily oversight of rehabilitation services
• Ensure efficient and effective operations of the facility's rehabilitation department
• Provide therapy services to patients
• Provide clinical support, training and oversight of specialty programs within his/her specific discipline
• Plan and coordinate with other facility therapists in the implementation of programs and procedures to optimize patient outcomes
• Monitor patient admissions, schedules, MDS assessment periods and data
• Provide administrative supervision of therapists in the rehabilitation department

Qualifications

• Under the direction of a Rehab Director
• Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist or license eligible in the state where employed
• Experience as a treating therapist in the Skilled Nursing Facility setting
