About the role

FeldCare Connects is seeking a self-motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to serve the Chula Vista area. The Physical Therapist Assistant will deliver premier excellence of care and work with adults of all ages.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate patient care needs to promote movement, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
  • Determine a treatment plan based on assessment and evaluation.
  • Execute interventions aimed at improving and enhancing the patient's well-being.
  • Monitor patient progress effectively.

Requirements

  • Remarkable knowledge of physical therapy principles, theories, and methods.
  • Great skills in providing a variety of treatments.
  • Profound ability to communicate effectively both written and oral.
  • Exceptional ability to understand the role of therapy in the context of the patient's age, needs, and environment.
  • Exceptional ability to prepare and maintain accurate and discreet records.
  • Proven sound clinical reasoning in treating and planning, implementing, and monitoring patient progress.
  • Ability to recognize when patient protocols or treatment plans need modification to meet appropriate patient needs and report to the therapist.

Qualifications

  • Ability and enthusiasm in working with all ages.
  • Physical Therapist license and registration by the state.
  • Completion of a Physical Therapist curriculum approved by The American Physical Therapy Association, The Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association, or The Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association.
  • Bilingual a plus!

Skills

  • Knowledge of physical therapy principles, theories, and methods.
  • Skills in providing a variety of treatments.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Understanding of therapy roles in various contexts.
  • Able to prepare and maintain accurate records.
  • Solid clinical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to modify treatment plans as needed.
