About the role

Join our neighborhood clinic in Denton, TX, where you'll work alongside a supervising PT and a supportive team. You'll grow into the clinician you want to be, helping kids with positioning, transfers, and mobility.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-on-one treatment sessions under the supervision of a licensed PT
  • Help kids with positioning, transfers, and mobility using gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, or other aids
  • Support the PT in implementing individualized treatment plans targeting strength, balance, coordination, and motor skills
  • Document progress, activities, and observations in our EMR with accuracy and care
  • Keep therapy spaces and equipment clean and safe
  • Show up for team meetings to collaborate on patient care and goal-setting
  • Continue to grow your craft through continuing education
  • Communicate clearly with kids, families, and your interdisciplinary teammates

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current Texas PTA licensure
  • Experience with the pediatric population or a strong desire to specialize
  • Basic understanding of common childhood physical conditions and treatment strategies
