About the role
Join our neighborhood clinic in Denton, TX, where you'll work alongside a supervising PT and a supportive team. You'll grow into the clinician you want to be, helping kids with positioning, transfers, and mobility.
Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one treatment sessions under the supervision of a licensed PT
- Help kids with positioning, transfers, and mobility using gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, or other aids
- Support the PT in implementing individualized treatment plans targeting strength, balance, coordination, and motor skills
- Document progress, activities, and observations in our EMR with accuracy and care
- Keep therapy spaces and equipment clean and safe
- Show up for team meetings to collaborate on patient care and goal-setting
- Continue to grow your craft through continuing education
- Communicate clearly with kids, families, and your interdisciplinary teammates
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current Texas PTA licensure
- Experience with the pediatric population or a strong desire to specialize
- Basic understanding of common childhood physical conditions and treatment strategies
