Physical Therapist Assistant PTA
About the role
NHC HomeCare Lewisburg is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their team. The PTA provides physical therapy services as directed by the physical therapist and ordered by the physician, following policies and procedures and state/federal regulations. They also assist in evaluating patient progress, documenting treatment sessions, and collaborating with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provides physical therapy services as directed by the physical therapist and ordered by the physician
- Aids in the evaluation of patient progress towards treatment goals
- Observes and documents patient conditions, reactions, and responses during treatments
- Maintains daily treatment records and reports to the physical therapist
- Documents progress notes as directed by the therapist
- Collaborates with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals as needed
Requirements
- Must have an Associate’s Degree from a recognized Physical Therapist Assistant Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
- Must be licensed in the state where the assistant will be practicing
- Active membership in state and national Physical Therapy Associations is preferred
Qualifications
