Physical Therapist Assistant PTA
About the role
The NHC HomeCare Dickson is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide physical therapy services under the direction of a Physical Therapist. This position requires an Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program and active licensure in the state of practice.
Responsibilities
- Provides physical therapy services as directed by the physical therapist and ordered by the physician according to policies and procedures and state/federal regulation.
- Affords assistance to the physical therapist during the evaluation of patient progress towards treatment goals.
- Monitors and documents patient conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties.
- Maintains detailed records of treatments administered.
- Documents progress notes as directed by the physical therapist.
Qualifications
- Completed an Associate’s Degree from a recognized Physical Therapist Assistant Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Licensed to practice in the state where the assistant will be working.
- Active membership in state and national Physical Therapy Associations is preferred.
