Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy assistance under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
  • Assist in patient assessments and treatment planning
  • Perform therapeutic exercises and activities
  • Document patient progress and treatment sessions accurately
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements

  • Must have an Associate’s Degree from an APTA accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program
  • Must have a current Virginia Physical Therapist Assistant license
  • Prior SNF experience a plus
  • Must be a team player, flexible, and have a positive attitude

Qualifications

  • Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

  • Proficient in using medical equipment and technology
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
