Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy assistance under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- Assist in patient assessments and treatment planning
- Perform therapeutic exercises and activities
- Document patient progress and treatment sessions accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements
- Must have an Associate’s Degree from an APTA accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program
- Must have a current Virginia Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Prior SNF experience a plus
- Must be a team player, flexible, and have a positive attitude
Qualifications
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Proficient in using medical equipment and technology
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
