Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA

Responsibilities

• Provides direct treatment to patients in accordance with the established plan of care developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Is alert to detect signs and symptoms of favorable and unfavorable reactions to treatment.
• Reports adverse responses to treatment immediately to the physical therapist.
• Accurately and regularly record all pertinent information regarding the Physical Therapy treatment program.
• Accurately and timely document the need for the skilled service in each record entry.
• Consistently perform at the required productivity level maintaining effective time management according to daily schedule.
• Attends and contributes to patient care plan meetings for an interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Communicates patient’s response to treatment and progress towards established goals with supervising physical therapist.
• Active participation in program development and clinical programming.
• Identify best practices for Physical Therapy practice and share with Rehab Team.
• Assist patients in achieving critical outcomes while acting as a trusted partner within the community.
