Responsibilities
- Provides direct treatment to patients in accordance with the established plan of care developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Is alert to detect signs and symptoms of favorable and unfavorable reactions to treatment.
- Reports adverse responses to treatment immediately to the physical therapist.
- Accurately and regularly record all pertinent information regarding the Physical Therapy treatment program.
- Accurately and timely document the need for the skilled service in each record entry.
- Consistently perform at the required productivity level maintaining effective time management according to daily schedule.
- Attends and contributes to patient care plan meetings for an interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Communicates patient’s response to treatment and progress towards established goals with supervising physical therapist.
- Active participation in program development and clinical programming.
- Identify best practices for Physical Therapy practice and share with Rehab Team.
- Assist patients in achieving critical outcomes while acting as a trusted partner within the community.
Qualifications
- Certified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
