Physical Therapist Assistant - PTA

What You'll Do
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you'll play a key role in outpatient therapy, sports medicine, and physical rehabilitation. Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, you'll help patients recover from orthopaedic injuries, post-surgical procedures, and musculoskeletal conditions.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include
- Providing individualized patient treatments as outlined in the Physical Therapist's plan of care.
- Documenting each visit with treatment notes, progress updates, and patient assessments.
- Instructing patients in exercise programs, proper body mechanics, and safe use of assistive devices.
- Guiding patients through gait training and mobility exercises.
- Communicating patient status changes promptly to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Serving as a clinical instructor and mentor for PTA students.
- Supporting the therapy team and clinic operations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Active Florida PTA license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and motivated to help people achieve their rehab goals.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Experience (a Plus, Not Required)
- Outpatient orthopaedic or sports medicine therapy experience.
- Familiarity with WebPT or other EMR systems.
