Physical Therapist Assistant / PTA

About the role

A Physical Therapist Assistant, also known as PTA or LPTA, is a skilled licensed therapist who performs direct care under the clinical supervision of the Physical Therapist to maximize functional potential in all areas of a resident’s life.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
• Perform therapeutic exercises and treatments to improve mobility and strength
• Provide patient education on self-care techniques and home exercise programs
• Document patient progress and communicate with other healthcare providers as needed
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment

Requirements

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in state of employment
• Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred

Pay

• $31-40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Schedule

• Part-time schedule available, 20-25 hours per week
• Premium PRN rate of $40 per hour for consistent hours of 15-20 per week
