Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed physical therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for our residents
  • Conduct physical therapy assessments and evaluations to identify patient goals and needs
  • Implement and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Provide direct patient care, including exercises, stretches, and other interventions as ordered by the physical therapist
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for our residents
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition of care

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in physical therapy or related field preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Missouri
  • 1+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in a long-term care or post-acute setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for delivering exceptional patient care and improving the lives of others
