Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for our residents
- Conduct physical therapy assessments and evaluations to identify patient goals and needs
- Implement and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Provide direct patient care, including exercises, stretches, and other interventions as ordered by the physical therapist
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for our residents
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition of care
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in physical therapy or related field preferred
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Missouri
- 1+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in a long-term care or post-acute setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for delivering exceptional patient care and improving the lives of others
