About the role
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will provide high-quality physical therapy care to our residents, working closely with our physical therapy team to design and implement individualized treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists with therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, motor learning, and functional activities
- Develop and implement treatment plans, under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- Monitor and record resident progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educate residents and families on proper techniques, precautions, and home exercise programs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to enhance overall care and achieve resident goals
Requirements
- Education and experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Current licensure and certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Missouri
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
