Responsibilities
- Aid in the development and execution of individualized treatment plans for residents.
- Perform physical therapy treatments such as exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care and treatment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care and effective communication.
- Participate in staff training and educational programs to stay current on best practices and evidence-based care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in physical therapy or related field preferred.
- Current certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Missouri.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents according to established procedures and standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
