Physical Therapist Assistant PTA
About the role
The NHC HomeCare Dickson is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide physical therapy services under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
Responsibilities
- Provides physical therapy services as directed by the physical therapist and ordered by the physician according to policies and procedures and state/federal regulation.
- Affords assistance to the physical therapist during the evaluation of patient progress towards treatment goals.
- Monitors patient conditions, reactions, and responses during assigned duties and reports these observations to the therapist.
- Maintains daily records of treatments and documents progress notes as directed by the therapist.
Qualifications
- Must have an Associate’s Degree from a recognized Physical Therapist Assistant Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Must be licensed in the state where the assistant will be practicing.
- Active membership in state and national Physical Therapy Associations is preferred.
