Duties & Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist.
- Absorb residents in exercises and therapeutic activities aimed at improving their mobility, strength, and coordination.
- Monitor and document residents’ progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist.
- Provide education to residents and their families on techniques and exercises to support rehabilitation.
- Ensure safety and comfort during therapy sessions, maintaining a positive and encouraging environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the highest quality of care.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in New Jersey.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations.
