Duties & Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Absorb residents in exercises and therapeutic activities aimed at improving their mobility, strength, and coordination.
  • Monitor and document residents’ progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist.
  • Provide education to residents and their families on techniques and exercises to support rehabilitation.
  • Ensure safety and comfort during therapy sessions, maintaining a positive and encouraging environment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the highest quality of care.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in New Jersey.
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations.
