About the role
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the guidance of the Director of Rehab Medicine, the Clinical Coordinator, and the Physical Therapists.
Responsibilities
- Treatment of patients following disability, injury, disease or amputation to help attain a maximum level of independence and performance.
- Follows the treatment plans as established by the Physical Therapist and administers modalities and other related procedures, under the prescription of the patient's physician and supervision of the Physical Therapist.
- Treatment provided in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards.
- Documents and communicates all necessary information to all appropriate parties.
- Care of patients in all patient care areas of OSU Medical Center, as situation requires.
Qualifications
- Education: 2 year/ Associate Degree (preferred)
- Licenses/Certifications: Physical Therapist Assistant License (new graduates must take the exam within 3 Months & receive full licensure within 9 months), BLS
