Responsibilities

• Aid in executing treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist
• Instruct and guide patients through prescribed exercises and mobility techniques
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress and any concerns to the Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques for continued progress at home
• Ensure a safe and encouraging rehabilitation environment

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams
• Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and provide hands-on patient care
• Problem-solving skills to adjust treatments based on patient progress
• Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and rehabilitation exercises
• Attention to detail for accurate documentation and reporting

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Current state licensure
• BLS
