Physical Therapist Assistant - PRN

Careers With Purpose seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our not-for-profit organization that has provided over 100 years of housing and services to seniors in a Christian environment. Located at the GSS NE Beatrice Ctr in Beatrice, NE, this position offers a flexible work schedule with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients/residents/clients with therapy activities and exercises under the supervision of a physical therapist.
• Improves patients'/residents'/clients' quality of life and ability to perform daily activities.
• Selects, implements, and modifies therapeutic activities and interventions based on patient's/resident's/client's goals and the requirements of the practice setting.
• Communicates and documents patient's/resident's/client's responses to and communications during intervention.
• Contributes to the process by exchanging information with and providing documentation to the physical therapist about the patient's/resident's/client's outcomes.
• Adheres to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organizations.
• May focus on post-acute, long-term care, and home health care environments as needed.

Requirements

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Graduate from an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state(s) of practice.
• Complies with supervision and licensing standards of the state(s) where services are provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license when applicable.
