Physical Therapist Assistant - Per Diem

Responsibilities

• Assist in improving or minimizing residual physical disabilities of assigned patients.
• Provide treatment as ordered by the physician and under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Consult with the Physical Therapist before any treatment modifications.
• Educate patients and families on home programs for balance and gait training.
• Observe, document, and report patient conditions to the physician, therapist, and case manager.
• Teach and supervise other healthcare personnel when appropriate.
• Evaluate the home environment and make relevant recommendations.

Requirements

• Licensed/registered as a PTA in the practice state.
• Good physical stamina and mental health, with necessary health clearances.
• Ability to follow written instructions and accurately document care.
• Self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Current CPR certification.
• Flexible, cooperative, and demonstrating tact, patience, and good hygiene.
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in Home Health or Hospice settings.
