Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA)

Role: Physical Therapist Assistant responsible for implementing treatment plans, providing exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance patient well-being within established care protocols. Key Responsibilities Follow state-specific laws and supervise physical therapy treatments as prescribed by the supervising PT.Instruct and assist patients with active/passive exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.Monitor, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team.Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques within the scope of practice.Adapt to various home environments, ensuring inclusive care regardless of age, race, or background. Qualifications & Skills Current license, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy assistance in the state.Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, or access to reliable transportation.Availability for weekend rotation.Preferred: CPR certification and ability to perform physical tasks like lifting and mobility assistance.
