About the Role
Provides physical therapy interventions to patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT) and assists in monitoring patient progress.
Responsibilities
- Follows established PT plans and modifies treatments within scope.
- Documents care and maintains patient records.
- Assists with patient assessments and manages caseloads.
- Delivers services in various settings, including patients' homes and care facilities.
- Supports patients with therapeutic activities, positioning, transfers, and use of medical equipment, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Participates in team meetings, special projects, and ongoing education.
Requirements
- NY State Certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
- Associate's degree in a relevant program.
- Minimum two years of clinical experience.
- Valid driver’s license (if required).
- Ability to travel, lift patients and equipment, and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
Qualifications & Skills
- Basic PC skills.
- Bilingual abilities are preferred.
Pay
$33.88 - $42.35 per hour.
