Physical Therapist Assistant - Full Time

About the role

Provides physical therapy treatments under licensed physical therapists, utilizing modalities, manual techniques, and exercises. Instructs patients in functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance. Works with minimal supervision and may mentor staff on technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy interventions, including modalities and manual techniques.
• Guide patients through functional activities and monitor responses.
• Observe treatment precautions, report changes, and document interventions accurately.
• Educate patients and caregivers, tailoring approaches to learning preferences.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Associate’s/Technical Degree or relevant experience; two years' technical therapy experience; outpatient or acute care experience.
• Licensure in physical therapy assistance in applicable states.
• CPR/BLS certification and a valid driver’s license; candidates must be at least 21.
