Role Overview The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance patient well-being within the established plan of care. Key Responsibilities Follow all state laws governing physical therapy practices in home care, performing only procedures within training and making recommendations for care adjustments to the supervising Physical Therapist.Instruct and assist patients with active/passive exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.Monitor, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team, coordinating care as needed.Educate patients, families, caregivers, and team members on therapy techniques within scope.Adapt to diverse home environments, ensuring quality care regardless of patient background. Qualifications & Skills Current licensed, registered, or certified in physical therapy assistance within the state.Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to transportation.Availability for weekend rotations.Preferred: CPR certification (or ability to obtain), physical ability for mobility assistance.
