About the Role

Our Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital is committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care to best address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.

Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, you will assist with the implementation of the therapy plan of care. You will be responsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for assigned patients to enhance patient care services. You will consistently communicate with the supervising PT regarding scheduled patients to ensure identification of the need for assessment and reassessment, modification of treatment plans, and other interventions requiring therapist direction. You will also participate in the education of patients, families, students, coworkers, and self, and perform other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of the therapy plan of care under the direct supervision of a licensed PT.
  • Delegate and direct supportive personnel for assigned patients to enhance patient care services.
  • Communicate consistently with the supervising PT regarding scheduled patients to ensure proper assessment, reassessment, and modification of treatment plans.
  • Participate in the education of patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.
  • Perform other professional duties associated with patient care within the scope of practice.

Requirements

  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
  • Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Qualifications

  • Preferred candidate has one or more years of experience.
