Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the State of Colorado or eligibility through compact licensure
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Passion for helping residents regain strength, mobility, and independence
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting
- Accurately document resident evaluations, treatments, and progress notes
- Assist residents in achieving rehabilitation goals and improving overall function
- Collaborate with therapists, physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to provide quality care
- Follow all applicable state and federal regulations governing therapy services
- Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and clinical standards
- Promote resident safety, independence, and quality of life through individualized treatment plans
