About the role

We are looking for a dedicated, full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our expanding team of healthcare professionals in our Paterson Office. The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to implement patient treatment plans, assist with therapeutic interventions, and support patient rehabilitation goals. Responsibilities

  • Implement patient treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and mobility training.
  • Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
  • Provide patient education on exercises and techniques to support recovery at home.
  • Ensure treatment areas and equipment are prepared, clean, and safe.
  • Communicate patient needs and progress with supervising Physical Therapist and healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects to support departmental and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Current CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Experience in outpatient, inpatient, or rehabilitation settings preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow treatment plans and instructions accurately.
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, medical terminology, and patient safety practices.

Pay

$36–40/hour, depending on specialty and experience.

Schedule

40 hours per week, full-time.
