About the role

We are looking for an energetic and results-driven Physical Therapist Assistant to provide therapeutic and holistic care on our clinical team. This is a wonderful opportunity to expand knowledge and experience in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Working towards the achievement of patient care time targets and productivity standards
  • Providing medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, muscle, nerve, joint, and/or bone diseases
  • Operating according to underlying goals of the inpatient acute environment, optimizing the length of stay while preparing the patient for transition to a longer-term setting in an efficient and safe manner
  • Collaborating with other therapists/physicians within care pathways as necessary
  • Restoring patient function while relieving pain with ambitions of avoiding disability
  • Integrating Rehab Techs to support the patients plan of care
  • Completing appropriate documentation according to Company/department policies and procedures along with adhering to federal and state regulations

Requirements

  • Have an Associate’s Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant
  • The required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure
  • Provide a CPR/AED/BLS (basic life support) certification or have the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
  • The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
  • A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality

Qualifications

  • Eligibility to Work: This position requires candidates to be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa (e.g., H-1B, OPT, etc.)
