Job Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of a physical therapist to help patients improve their mobility, function, and overall health
- Restores patient’s function, alleviates pain, and prevents disabilities by completing the physical therapy’s treatment plan
- Helps patient accomplish treatment plan by administering manual exercises, giving massages, and using equipment as necessary
- Evaluates and records patient’s progress
- Documents patient care services by charting records daily
- Instruct patients in proper exercises and therapies
- Educate patients about the recovery process and the challenges they may face
- Administer post offer placement evaluations to determine if a person can perform the physical demands of a job
- Work with the case manager as it relates to scheduling and document requirements
- Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocol
- Willing to work after hours to attend to occupational medicine injuries
- Dispense rehabilitation supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education And Experience Requirements
- Physical Therapist Assistant Associate’s degree
- Licensed as a physical therapist assistant
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of three years of physical therapy experience preferred
