Physical Therapist Assistant

About the role

Millennium Therapy is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for their Skilled Nursing facility in Monticello, IA. As a therapist-owned and managed company, Millennium Therapy provides comprehensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy services across Iowa. The local home office offers quick support to its associates.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the provision of screens and collection of assessment data under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Conducts resident screens (without interpretation) as directed by the supervising therapist.
• Participates in the clinical team process.
• Provides teaching and training to caregiver staff.
• Participates in clinical program development.
• Collates assessment data, as part of the evaluation process, as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Trains patients, residents, caregivers, and families according to the plan of care outlined by the supervising therapist.
• Prepares treatment materials and assists with other clerical duties as directed.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an APTA accredited program.
• Professional Licensure in the state of hire or eligibility for licensure in states that regulate the Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Utilizes effective time management skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an APTA accredited program.
• Professional Licensure in the state of hire or eligibility for licensure in states that regulate the Physical Therapy Assistant.
