Physical Therapist Assistant

Essential Duties

• Assessing vitals and supervising patient care
• Carrying out the plan of care set by the physical therapist
• Medical charting in accordance with state practice act and statutes
• Objective and unbiased assessment of a person’s ability to safely complete tasks
• Patient and provider scheduling
• Copying, faxing, typing/computer use, and phone work
• Ensuring confidentiality under HIPAA law
• Handling insurance authorizations
• Filing medical records
• Table surface disinfecting
• Laundry and exercise/modality equipment care
• Supply inventory and stocking

Education And/or Experience Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited PTA program
• Current State PTA license
• Current CPR documentation
