Responsibilities

  • Assist physical therapists in providing direct patient care, according to the therapist’s treatment plan.
  • Auxiliary tasks may include assisting patients with walking, transferring, and dressing.
  • Conduct therapy practice within established standards of care.
  • Communicate effectively with other professionals and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards as required.
  • Deliver care at one or more assisted living locations, providing meaningful services to a diverse group of seniors.
  • Provide education to patients and families on home exercise programs and strategies for maintaining functional independence and a better quality of life.
  • Document patient care services in compliance with state and facility standards using EMR.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development through educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant license.
