About the role
Elderwood at Hamburg is expanding our rehabilitation team and seeking compassionate, motivated Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) for a Full-Time opportunity. As a PTA, you’ll work alongside Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Nursing, and Physicians to help residents regain strength, mobility, confidence, and independence following illness, injury, surgery, or hospitalization. You’ll become part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary rehabilitation team delivering individualized, resident-centered care while celebrating every recovery milestone.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Physical Therapist in planning, developing, and carrying out treatment programs and procedures for residents.
- Document observations of resident’s behavior and progress in Progress Notes.
- Maintain statistical records and other departmental reports as requested by the Physical Therapist.
- Assist with in-service training programs upon request.
- Keep supplies in good order and perform daily sanitation of equipment.
- Arrive to work on time, regularly, and work as scheduled; responsible for own transportation.
- Utilize the electronic timekeeping system.
- Observe and practice confidentiality of resident information and privacy.
- Follow the facility’s dress code, including wearing a name tag at all times.
- Perform assigned duties according to the service excellence standards and goals established for this position.
Requirements
- Graduation from a physical therapy assistant approved program.
- New York State license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Current, valid CPR/BLS credentials.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or advanced level.

Pay
$22.00 - $31.00 per hour.
