Physical Therapist Assistant

About the role

Provide hands-on physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, function, and independence. Implement individualized treatment plans, assist with therapeutic exercise and gait training, apply appropriate modalities, and support patient progress.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment components as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Guide therapeutic exercise and gait training to meet patient goals
• Apply physical therapy modalities and assist with safe patient care
• Document care accurately in an EMR
• Educate patients and families on home care and self-management
• Collaborate in a patient-first team environment
