Physical Therapist Assistant

About the role

Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) are needed to provide physical therapy services under the supervision of licensed physical therapists.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assessment and treatment of patients with physical disabilities
• Implement therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patient function
• Document patient progress and communicate with supervising PTs
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during treatment sessions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or related field
• Current license to practice as a PTA in the state of Illinois
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation setting preferred

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in computer systems and software

Skills

• Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and modalities
• Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Pay

$25.30 - $37.95 per hour based on experience and qualifications

Schedule

40 hours per week, days and 2 weekend days a month
