About the role
Vori Health is a virtual-first, musculoskeletal medical practice dedicated to evidence-based care. As a Vori Health Physical Therapist Assistant, you will be part of a care team that includes a nonoperative physical medicine and sports physician, a health coach, and a physical therapist. Your responsibilities include supporting patients in their care journey, monitoring their progress, and collaborating with the care team to achieve patient-centered goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services by administering treatment protocols under the supervision of a physical therapist.
- Maintain patient safety and ensure adherence to treatment plans.
- Document patient care services and clinical activities in patient records.
- Support patients in their virtual physical therapy program by instructing, encouraging, and assisting them with their plan of care.
- Identify and address patient care issues to enhance the effectiveness of physical therapists.
- Obtain and maintain multiple state licenses as directed by Vori Health.
- Continuously update knowledge of physical therapy through educational opportunities and professional contacts.
- Promote the Vori Health reputation by maintaining high-quality standards for physical therapy and contributing to job accomplishments.
- Communicate and assist other Vori care team members as needed to provide comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Associates degree in physical therapy assistant.
- Active, unencumbered PTA license in your home state.
- Reside in a state part of the Physical Therapy Compact.
- At least 3 years of experience in digital care or outpatient physical therapy clinics.
- Expertise in evaluating and treating patients with a range of musculoskeletal pain conditions.
- Proven record of matching patient needs to treatment plans and implementing them safely and effectively.
- Strong experience administering a wide range of physical therapy techniques delivered digitally.
- A strong sense of empathy and the ability to motivate patients.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Critical thinking skills, flexibility, and the ability to design innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working within an environment of rapid pace and constant change.
