Physical Therapist - Acute Care

About the role

Provides skilled physical therapy services in an acute care setting, including evaluation, treatment planning, and patient education. Collaborates with healthcare teams, makes referrals, and delegates tasks to assistants and students based on their skill levels. Completes documentation in accordance with departmental policies and offers assessments, reassessments, and consultations.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and implements individualized treatment plans considering discharge needs and functional outcomes.
• Educates patients, families, and healthcare providers, making appropriate referrals.
• Delegates interventions to assistants, techs, and students with clear communication about competencies.
• Maintains accurate documentation and records.
• Provides evaluations, reassessments, and consultation services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (PT) required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Licensed Physical Therapist.
• No prior experience required; supervision experience is not mandatory.
