Physical Therapist - Acute Care

About the Role

A Physical Therapist provides comprehensive physical therapy services, including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation across various settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations by reviewing history, performing assessments, and documenting results; communicate findings and involve patients and families in goal setting.
• Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation outcomes, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and modify care plans as needed.
• Prepare discharge plans and follow-up care, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and progress.
• Manage time effectively, meet productivity standards, and provide flexible, empathetic patient care.
• Pursue ongoing professional development, serve as a clinical instructor, and mentor new staff, students, and volunteers.

Requirements

• Degree in Physical Therapy (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral).
• Licensure required for Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia depending on location.
• Current BLS certification.
