About the role

We evaluate patients and provide inpatient physical therapy treatment programs based on physician orders. We collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patients reach the most appropriate level of post-acute or home care. We also maintain patient records according to documentation standards, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Performs evaluations and provides treatment programs to facilitate patient specific goals.
  • Affirms the patient's response to treatment and recommends adjustments to the treatment plan as necessary.
  • Maintains accurate patient records according to established protocols.
  • Achieves and maintains compliance with hospital quality and safety targets.
  • Adapts to different patient populations, ensuring privacy and clear communication.
  • Supports the healthcare team in achieving patient safety outcomes.

Requirements

  • Current physical therapy license in state of practice OR eligibility for licensure by examination OR reciprocity from another state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in physical therapy.

  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.

  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
