About the role

The physical therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformities in patients with injuries or diseases.

Responsibilities

• Develops and revises treatment plans
• Provides patient education
• Collaborates with physicians on care goals
• Documents treatments and ensures discharge planning
• Acts as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services
• Conducts patient assessments
• Establishes care plans with input from patients and families
• Documents all sessions per standards
• Participates in professional development activities
• Adheres to ethical standards and maintains confidentiality
• Promotes a positive, collaborative environment
• Responsible for infection prevention and compliance with policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
• Valid PT license
• BLS certification
• Georgia state licensure is mandatory
