Physical Therapist - Acute

About the role

Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve functional mobility, relieve pain, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients' physical condition and develops treatment plans to improve functional mobility and relieve pain.
• Provides education to patients and caregivers on rehabilitation techniques and self-care strategies.
• Serves as a mentor and supervisor to other healthcare professionals involved in patient care.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop comprehensive care plans.

Requirements

• Current Virginia License in Physical Therapy.
• BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in acute care settings preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
