About the role
Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve functional mobility, relieve pain, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patients' physical condition and develops treatment plans to improve functional mobility and relieve pain.
- Provides education to patients and caregivers on rehabilitation techniques and self-care strategies.
- Serves as a mentor and supervisor to other healthcare professionals involved in patient care.
- Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop comprehensive care plans.
Requirements
- Current Virginia License in Physical Therapy.
- BLS certification.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in acute care settings preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
