Senior role based in Tucson, AZ; must be eligible to work in the U.S. and able to relocate if necessary.
About the role
The Physical Security Engineer owns the design and commissioning of complex physical-security deployments and serves as the technical authority across the field crew.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end physical security solutions (access control, VMS, intrusion, integrated systems)
- Produce detailed plan sets, riser diagrams, and bills of materials
- Lead system commissioning and acceptance testing
- Provide technical oversight to field technicians during installations
- Interface with clients, general contractors, and authorities having jurisdiction throughout project delivery
Requirements
- 5+ years designing commercial physical security systems
- Manufacturer-level certifications across multiple platforms (Avigilon, Rhombus, Verkada, LenelS2, Genetec)
- Strong networking knowledge (VLANs, multicast, QoS, network segmentation)
- PSP certification or equivalent preferred
