About the role

This part-time Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician position with National Wound Physician Group offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work‑life balance. There are no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities. Physicians become experts in wound management through paid training and a six‑month wound care fellowship led by highly qualified wound‑certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors. The practice utilizes cutting‑edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities across more than 3,200 facilities in 28 states.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bedside wound management in post‑acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long‑Term Acute Care Hospitals).
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each assigned facility.
• Visit 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients per day.
• Complete clinical documentation at point of care in real time using the proprietary wound‑specific EMR.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted medical license (MD or DO) in the state of practice (Missouri).
• Minimum commitment of three weekdays per week.
• W2 employment contract (no work visa sponsorship available).

Practice overview

This is a mobile practice: physicians visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of Warsaw, MO. Full‑time schedules run Monday–Friday, 7 am–4 pm; part‑time roles require a minimum of three days per week (full‑time is four to five days). There is no call and no weekend clinical responsibility. Paid training is provided during onboarding plus a six‑month wound care fellowship.
