About the role

This is a part-time Physical Medicine and Rehab Physician position with a national wound physician group, based in Lexington, KY. The role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound care in skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each assigned facility
• Visit 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients per day
• Perform clinical documentation at point of care in real-time during clinical rounds using a proprietary wound-specific EMR
• Become an expert in wound management through training from wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in Kentucky
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week
• This is a mobile practice – physicians visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location

• Physical Medicine and Rehab Physician
• Willingness to learn wound management (no prior wound experience required; training provided)

Training

• Paid training provided during onboarding
• 6-month wound care fellowship included

Schedule

• Part-time role: minimum of 3 days per week
• Full-time role: 4–5 days per week
• Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm
• No call, no weekend clinical responsibilities

Pay

• W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits
