About the role

Part-time Physical Medicine and Rehab Physician position with a national wound physician group, based in Wytheville, VA. This role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Clinical responsibilities

• Become an expert in wound management, learning from highly qualified wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities
• Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings: Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility
• Visit 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients per day
• Complete clinical documentation at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using proprietary wound-specific EMR

Schedule and practice structure

• Part-time role: minimum of 3 weekdays per week
• Full-time role: 4–5 days per week (Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm)
• No call / no weekend clinical responsibilities
• Mobile practice: physicians visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of practice location
• Paid training provided during onboarding plus a 6-month wound care fellowship
• W2 employment contract (no work visa sponsorship available)

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week

Compensation and benefits

• W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits
