About the role

The AmeriCorps Education Fellow will provide academic support and enrichment activities to students at Great Oaks Legacy Charter High School. Responsibilities include tutoring, mentoring, and facilitating workshops.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students in core subjects
• Mentor students to develop academic and personal skills
• Facilitate workshops on topics such as study skills, college preparation, and career exploration
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to enhance student learning experiences

Requirements

• Current college/university student majoring in education, STEM, or related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for working with youth and making a positive impact

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience working with youth or in education settings is a plus
