About the role

PeaceHealth is seeking a compassionate full‑time physiatrist to join its Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician team in Vancouver, WA. The position is primarily outpatient at the Salmon Creek clinic, treating patients with neurological and orthopedic needs, while also providing coverage for an inpatient rehabilitation unit when the medical director is unavailable. The role emphasizes returning patients to function through coordinated management with primary care physicians, specialists, and orthopedic and neurologic therapists.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient physiatry care, offering 30‑ and 45‑minute patient visits and seeing up to ~20 patients daily.
• Cover the 14‑bed inpatient rehabilitation unit on a call basis (second in line for sick or PTO coverage).
• Perform electrodiagnostic studies (EMG and NCV) and administer Botox for spasticity.
• Conduct trigger point injections (TPI) and deliver conservative treatment for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
• Collaborate with PeaceHealth primary care physicians, specialists, and therapy teams.
• Participate in program growth initiatives, including sports medicine, community engagement, and teaching residents in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Utilize DAX Ambient Intelligent Scribe for streamlined charting.

Qualifications

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Comfortable working in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
• Experience and willingness to perform EMG, NCV, Botox injections, and trigger point injections.
• Proficiency in conservative management of musculoskeletal conditions.
• Commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and teaching.

Pay

First‑year base salary of $320,736, with additional compensation components as outlined in the benefits package.

Schedule

• Clinic hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Full‑time (1.0 FTE) with 36 patient‑contact hours weekly
• One‑week‑per‑month evening home call (1:4 call schedule)
• Inpatient rehabilitation coverage as second in line for sick or PTO coverage
• 30‑ and 45‑minute patient visits, up to ~20 patients per day
